About the Role:

As a Senior Program Manager in the Direct to Consumer (DTC) area, you will be responsible for leading complex, multi-phase programs, coordinating communications and collaborations between teams to deliver direct business impact across the entire team or product.

What you'll do:

Scope:

  • Define program objectives based on business and product alignment, following portfolio processes
  • Support in monitoring initiatives/projects that meet the team's quarterly objectives, identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies
  • Independently identify the right solutions to solve ambiguous and open-ended problems, or create an environment for that to happen

Collaborative Reach:

  • Work primarily within the context of the program - squads and tribes in context - and cross-functional partners, driving collaboration between teams for their initiatives
  • Partner with TPMs from technical governance teams to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate deeply with related areas, building relationships with stakeholders and operational teams to ensure the program's success
  • Manage, when necessary, relationships with third parties to ensure the program's success

  • Product Expertise: Actively keep customer needs in mind and leverage input from product stakeholders to align with engineering and data leadership on trade-offs to deliver customer value quickly
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a well-rounded set of technical skills and domain expertise in the area's architecture that allows for tackling engineering challenges
  • Communication and Influence: Have communication at the heart of the program, being able to communicate synchronously or asynchronously with excellence, targeting the right audience with the best format, and ensuring healthy collaboration

What you'll need:

Program Management

  • Coordinate the Product Development roadmap for multi-phase programs
  • Establish a plan to manage and review programs and initiatives (status updates, milestones, success tracking, retrospectives, etc.)
  • Develop communication strategies for programs and initiatives
  • Create comprehensive plans detailing the entire program or project, keeping this document alive and regularly updated
  • Proactively track issues, risks, and dependencies of initiatives/projects for timely mitigation and resolution
  • Apply the right project and program solutions based on needs (Risk Frameworks, Dependency Frameworks, Decision Frameworks, etc.)
  • Deeply understand agile methodologies and best practices, identifying bottlenecks in team processes and acting to reduce friction and rework
  • Implement changes through a change management plan with clear vision and audience
  • Understand portfolio concepts and support their implementation and innovation
  • Understand the program's impact on the portfolio and work to keep it aligned with expectations
  • Maintain control of all portfolio needs in appropriate processes and documentation
  • Establish partnerships with engineering and design teams to keep updated information on allocation, delivery capacity, research, experimentation, and predictability

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing complex multi-phase programs
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and project management practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
  • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to understand and communicate requirements and limitations
  • Experience in defining metrics and evaluating program success
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
