Associate Manager - Sponsorships Events
Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role :
Razorpay is seeking an experienced and dynamic sales manager responsible for identifying, securing, and managing sponsorship opportunities for Razorpay's events and initiatives. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to deliver results through partnerships. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to create mutually beneficial sponsorships that drive business growth and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sponsorship strategy aligned with Razorpay’s business goals and event objectives.
- Identify and research potential sponsorship partners that align with the Razorpay brand and target audience.
- Design and package sponsorship proposals that clearly communicate value to potential sponsors.
- Lead outreach to potential sponsors and build relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
- Pitch sponsorship opportunities and close deals that meet revenue targets and partnership goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for sponsors before, during, and after events, ensuring smooth collaboration.
- Oversee the activation of sponsorship agreements, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sponsor integration into event experiences.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, partnership management, or business development, preferably in events
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to pitch and negotiate.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building and nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Ability to manage complex sponsorship agreements and ensure all deliverables are met.
- Strong understanding of sponsorship metrics and ability to evaluate the ROI of partnerships.
