Senior Coordinator, Business Development and Strategic Investments
The NFL Business Development and Strategic Investments (“BD”) department oversees the licensing of NFL content across new and emerging media, entertainment, and information platforms. This includes market and competitive analysis, business and rights valuation, go-to-market process management and deal negotiation and execution. This team executes partnerships across a range of business models and structures. The core mandate of the group is to grow the popularity of the National Football League by distributing NFL intellectual property and content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, increases revenue for the business, and creates long-term strategic value for the 32 member clubs.
The Partnership Management Team operates as a vertical within the NFL's Business Development and Strategic Investments team, supporting the management of key existing and newly formed partnerships. This role requires a strong organized self-starter, who can combine a thorough understanding of the sports business space with a comprehensive foundation in business analysis, with effective written and verbal communication skills. This role requires an individual who can adapt to changing priorities and genuinely enjoys building and maintaining valuable relationships with key NFL business partners.
The Senior Coordinator is responsible for coordinating alignment across NFL BD partners, as well as the group’s goals & objectives. Specifically, in the following areas:
- Day-to-day Partner Relationship Management
- Marketing & Brand Compliance
- Institutional Media Management & Execution
- Partner Hospitality & Event Operations
Responsibilities
Partner Relationship Management:
- Responsible for day-to-day management and support of key partnerships programs; support 15+ partnerships across digital/social media, video streaming, audio, legalized sports betting, and other new platforms
- Take a meaningful role in all aspects of NFL partnerships managed by the team, from working on large-scale active partnerships to proactively identifying potential new business partners
- Optimize partner satisfaction to help drive renewals while executing the current partner deals
- Drive incremental revenue through partner activations via NFL Media ad sales, Sponsorship event activations & up-sells with BD partners
- Maintain budgets and department P&L
- Create and participate in strategic presentations to senior executives inside and outside the organization
- Serve as a bridge between business partners and the rest of the NFL, to provide partners with access to events, content, League updates, etc., and to utilize media partner promotional channels
- Contribute to positive group culture to foster high performance, efficient processes, and professional development
Marketing, Management & Brand Compliance:
- Assist with partner creative approval processes, ensuring all partner marketing campaigns using NFL IP and external communications follow contractual terms and adhere to NFL guidelines
- Responsible for cross-departmental collaboration (brand, marketing, PR, legal, etc.) for approval processes
- Support the development of all aspects of media partners’ content marketing programs (strategy, development, executions, activation & reporting) and assist in the collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders
- Ideate with partners and their marketing, creative, and social teams to help make their overall content/promotional assets as impactful as possible, while aligning with key NFL goals and initiatives
- Responsible for a deep knowledge of deal terms to ensure partners are within their rights
- Maintain compliance approval reporting on all key media and advertising programs
Institutional Media Management and NFL Marketing Brand
- Responsible for allocation of NFL assets across partners’ platforms, to grow & amplify NFL marketing initiatives (e.g. NFL Commerce, Media, Community, Events, Social Responsibility, etc.)
- Responsible for working with NFL Marketing’s Media Planning/Buying team to coordinate planning, development, management & execution of institutional promotional media inventory across NFL media partners, while tracking and managing reporting performance. Inventory from agreements
- Communicate key media and marketing initiatives and updates to senior executives, the entire BD team, and key cross-organizational points of contact
Partner Hospitality and Events Ops:
- Partner marketing & logistical support at all NFL tentpole events (NFL Draft, Kickoff, PB, SB & Combine)
- Responsible for assistance with on-site hospitality management (e.g., tickets, hotels, partners logistics & operations) for media partners and their guests
- all NFL BD staff support for on-site NFL event management
- Responsible for NFL BD Staffing at events, events credentialing for staff and partners, and VIP executive partner hospitality
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience, ideally in sports business & media with advanced knowledge within a specific job areas
- Experience of working with and managing partnerships
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details to senior management
- Efficiently in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Unwavering commitment to honest and ethical business interactions

- Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Active fan of spectator sports to relate to the user experience of sports fans and visitors to NFL properties
- Works well with others; strong interpersonal skills; emphasizes teamwork; excellent time management skills
- Mindfulness, especially when multi-tasking across various projects in a fast-paced environment; expected to execute tasks with minimal error and with a high level of efficiency
Travel / Physical Demands
- Requires frequent travel to NFL tent pole and related events
Salary / Pay Range
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Terms / Expected Hours of Work
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week, 5 days in the office. This role may require additional long hours at NFL tent pole & related events that may also occur during weekends.
Salary
$75,000 - $105,000 USD

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
