Role: Senior Finance Business Partner

Location: London. England, United Kingdom ( 2 Days a week from our London office)

 

About the role:

This role will be the Senior finance business partner for a number of our large, critical global clients. Each of these clients have the scale of small businesses and as such require excellent financial oversight and leadership. This role will oversee the forecasting and reporting at a multi regional level but will be more focused on the interpretation of the results and the identification and leadership of value-added workstreams needed to improve the results of the business. The role will also participate in all commercial pricing and negotiations.This is high profile role within our business and as such will require a candidate that is comfortable to operate at all levels within the business at a fast pace

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a true finance business partner to the client leadership teams
  • Monthly and weekly reviews of forecasts and actuals for the assigned clients, providing informative understanding and commentary
  • Work closely with local finance teams across the globe to ensure that the client reporting is accurate and understood
  • Detailed understanding of client commercials and project set up to ensure accurate revenue recognition at month end
  • Preparation of monthly Client Board Packs and Commentary incorporating all client entities
  • Presentation of results and forecasts to senior leadership and the group directors
  • Identify all opportunities and trends that may help to improve client performance
  • Support the implementations of new market roll outs
  • Identify and actively drive forward process improvements and monitor the control environment
  • Work on all types of adhoc analysis and projects that will support the growth of the clients or business
  • Work with the commercial team in support of any bids or re-pricing of client services including all negotiations with the client
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

The role will oversee that all functions run smoothly end to end from work estimation, through contracting and work authorization, resourcing and development, all the way to acceptance, invoicing and collections.  It will also play a role in reporting to both the client, account team as well as various layers of Oliver management as required. You must be very hands on with the ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams and take responsibility to get things done on time even when systems and processes are at times stretched or insufficient.  You must be able to partner closely with and collaborate effectively with the client leadership team, various internal departments and the clients. You must be an excellent communicator and able to expertly convey data, abstract concepts, points of view and escalations to senior management efficiently and effectively. 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5+ years of finance experience.
  • Previous experience of finance partnering
  • Industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • The ability to instill confidence in the senior leadership team and finance departments
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with ability to form strong working relationships
  • Able to effectively navigate conflict with internal stakeholders
  • Clear and concise communicator, to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • Someone who seeks solutions rather than just reporting problems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Pro-active self-starter.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High standard of integrity, confidentiality and discretion
  • Must be ambitious and have clear evidence of career progression
  • Client-side or advertising agency marketing experience
  • Strategic thinker
  • Flexible and adaptable with proven ability to be successful in a fast-moving ever-changing environment.
